The Blues & Roots Piano Sensation Is Back - Multiple Blues Music Award Winner and Grammy nominee

Victor Wainwright & The Train plus Horns (USA)

Victor Wainwright is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Though his career began over a decade ago with genuine rock n' roll honky-tonk, Wainwright has broadened his artistic scope over the years to include music representing virtually every facet of the blues. His dedication to musical discovery, sheer love for entertaining, and insatiable curiosity have led him all around the world. He has maybe received the most awards as a piano player, composer, singer, bandleader and entertainer ind piano led modern blues bands.

The resulting perspective is a reflection of his passion for creating progressive roots music in an effort to move the art-form forward. In addition to his strengths as composer, producer, and vocalist, Wainwright is an award-winning piano player; raucous, high-octane entertainer; dynamic performer; and crowd pleaser with soul to spare. This is Blues, Roots Rock and Soul, featuring Wainwright’s boogie piano and soulful vocals, backed by one of the most gifted bands on the scene: the Train.

Wainwright's musical style was described by the American Blues Scene magazine in 2013 as "honky-tonk and boogie, with a dose of rolling thunder. Wainwright's playing is simply beautiful madness."

Living Blues magazine noted, "Wainwright serves as an electrifying guide to a good time – spinning tales, telling his listeners how to beat the blues, and meticulously conjuring raw soul and energy out of his acoustic piano."

In 2013 and 2014, Wainwright won the 'Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year' at the Blues Music Award ceremonies. Also in 2013, his collaborative album, “Easy Livin'”, made the Top 10 in the US Billboard Top Blues Album chart. In 2016, he won the Blues Music Award as ‘BB King Entertainer of the Year & Band of The Year’, as well as the Blues Blast Award for ‘Contemporary Blues Album of the Year’. In 2017, he was Blues Music Award Nominee for the ‘Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year’.

After two unforgettable shows with his former band, The Wildroots, and another appearance with Southern Hospitality in the last years, Wainwright will surely blow the audience away at his next performance for Groove Now.
